How saasdb.app sources its data
Every metric on saasdb.app is sourced directly from SEC EDGAR filings — 10-K and 10-Q reports filed by public companies. We parse quarterly earnings data, insider trading disclosures (Form 4), and financial statement line items to compute NRR, Rule of 40, EV/Revenue, and gross margin. Data is refreshed daily via an automated pipeline. We do not use estimates, interpolations, or third-party data vendors for core financial metrics.
Read our full methodology →What is SaaSDB?
SaaSDB is a free financial database of public SaaS company metrics, updated daily from SEC EDGAR filings. It tracks 172+ public software companies across key performance indicators: Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Rule of 40, EV/Revenue multiples, gross margin, free cash flow margin, ARR growth, CAC payback, and insider trades.
The database serves two audiences. Investors use SaaSDB to screen for valuation disconnects — comparing forward multiples against historical medians and filtering by efficiency scores. Founders and operators use it to benchmark their private metrics against the cohort of public SaaS companies in their sector and stage.
All metrics are computed directly from 10-K and 10-Q filings. SaaSDB does not use Wall Street estimates, interpolations, or data vendor feeds for core financial metrics.
